Honest, fresh and made with care

Hospitality runs in my blood. I come from a real hospitality family, and it was my father who taught me the trade and awakened that love for the profession in me. I had long dreamed of turning that passion into my own place — something small-scale, with a real bond with the neighbourhood. With San's Place, that dream has become reality.

San's Place opens at the familiar spot of the former Pitstop – Broodjes & Snacks on Handelslei 22 in Sint-Job-in-'t-Goor. I'm taking over the shop and continuing it with the same warm approach the neighbourhood already knew, complemented by my own years of experience in the sandwich trade.

At San's Place, it's all about fresh, honest and cozy. I work with daily-fresh ingredients from local suppliers and make everything myself with love for the craft: freshly filled sandwiches, homemade soup, salads and snacks. There's a cozy seating area and a sunny terrace with high tables, parasols and flower boxes — perfect for a sandwich or coffee outside.

During the day you're welcome for a quick lunch or a generous sandwich: sit down in the seating area, enjoy the terrace, eat on-site or take away. What drives me? A chat at the counter, a smile, and neighbours meeting each other — that's the essence of a good sandwich bar to me.
